San Lorenzo Preschool adopts a range of Montessori and Bilingual Immersion Core Curriculum, Multiple Intelligences, Inquiry and Research based Curriculum, Thematic Teaching and Brain Based learning styles to most effectively help kids at this stage of life.
At San Lorenzo Preschool, the idea of “Global Education” is advocated in them to help children find their own place in the world community. Through class activities and celebrations, San Lorenzo Preschool strives to develop true “Citizens of the World”- children who appreciate, respect and enjoy the diversity of life with the belief that every child is unique individual.
The exercises of Practical Life are the foundation of a Montessori environment. There are four components in Practical Life exercises: Care of Self, Care of the Environment (indoor and outdoor), Social Grace and Courtesy, and Development of Motor Skills. Through spontaneous and purposeful work with the Practical Life exercises, children develop control and coordination of movement, good work habits, responsibility, concentration and independence.
Children learn through their five senses. The primary purpose of sensorial exercises is to further refine the child’s senses of touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing. With the use of specially designed Montessori sensorial apparatus, children learn to order, relate, explore and classify their sense perception.
A multi-sensory approach that combines phonics, stories, language and experiences to bring meaning to the learning of reading and writing. Children do not learn by heart, but utilise all their senses to help them read and write with proper understanding. Discovering language becomes interesting and fun through activities in the Pink, Blue and Green Montessori series.Grammar concepts are also taught to enhance the child’s attention to the use of words in everyday speech.
Montessori Mathematics is taught through the manipulation of concrete objects. With many opportunities for hands-on experience, children will be taught addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, the decimal system, number bonds and problem solving.
A. Nature Study – Study of living and non-living things.
B. Botany & Zoology – Study of plants and animals with basic classification.
C. Geography – Introduction to landforms, continents, and the solar system.
D. History – Understanding past and present through creative activities.
To encourage children to express themselves, interesting and fun activities such as drawing, painting, collage work and handicraft will be planned for them.
Through these guided activities, children will be able to experience success and this, in turn, will help boost their self-esteem.
(Cookery sessions are a big hit with our little chefs! Here, the emphasis is on hands-on, messy ways to learn an important life skill. While the children learn to prepare food in a safe and fun environment, they are also introduced to new vocabulary and measuring concepts.
(With our music and movement programme, children will develop rhythm, coordination and a love for music. Activities also aim to nurture and refine children’s musical abilities and help them use these abilities to express themselves.
A fitness programme that teaches children fun and age-appropriate exercises and helps promote healthy lifestyle choices. We focus on activities that are fun for each age group and includes activities that use physical movements to allow children to use their energy, and it gives children the chance to develop gross and fine motor skills, learn new things and socialize.
Water play helps children understand and enjoy their living-learning environment. Learning opportunities through this natural and therapeutic medium are endless!
When it comes to play materials, children do not mind getting messy or wet. Sand play, like water play, helps children develop eye-hand coordination and math and science concepts. It also enhances children’s social skills and encourages cooperation.
Excursions and field trips are planned regularly to places such as the zoo, Botanic Gardens, museums and children’s theatre plays. These exciting trips offer children fantastic opportunities to explore the outside world and learn new things while having fun.
Recycling projects helps students of all ages understand the role that each one of us plays in biodiversity conservation. Our educational materials provide kids and teachers with the information they need to understand fundamental environmental issues and to take actions that will help protect our planet.
At our much-awaited annual year-end concert cum graduation ceremony, our young ones turn stars for the day and dazzle mums and dads with delightful performances. Definitely a proud moment for all!

When children experience cooking 👩🍳 at an early age, it gives them a sense of independence and helps them develop greater fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and exposes them to early concepts of maths and science. 🥰

我是喜欢那种外国的style(风格),可以play and learn(从游戏中学习。)
我认为San Lorenzo有。而且,我最大的女儿现在进二年级,成绩也是不错。最后,我要感谢San Lorenzo的老师,教到我的女儿的成绩不错。现在,她在小学的成绩也拿到不错的分数。

San Lorenzo does a good job in preparing my kids and all the kids with them. They build a solid foundation for them in terms of early reading, Maths, languages, Chinese, Bahasa and English. So, when my kid entered the Chinese Primary school, she is ready for that. That is why I’m sending my second kid there as well. I really thank San Lorenzo Bukit Serdang for helping my girls in term of academic and social skills and everything. They really make sure that they are ready for the real-world challenges. With that being said, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the teachers at San Lorenzo Bukit Serdang for preparing my kids to be ready to enter the Chinese primary school and face the real-world challenges as well.
